Welcome to Edmies. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website, services, training courses, and associated platforms operated by Edmies (referred to as "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing our services or enrolling in our courses, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not accept these Terms, please do not use our services.

1. Eligibility

  • Users must be at least 18 years old to register or must be enrolled with parental/guardian consent.
  • For certain courses, eligibility criteria such as minimum educational qualifications may apply.

2.Course Enrollment and Completion

  • Course access is granted only after full or partial fee payment as per the agreed structure.
  • Completion certificates are issued only after successfully completing required assignments, projects, or assessments.

3. Fee Payment and Refund Policy

  • All course fees must be paid via approved modes.
  • Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
  • Non-attendance or voluntary withdrawal does not entitle the student to a refund unless approved in writing.

4.Use of Edmies Services

You agree not to:

  • Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the service without express written permission.
  • Use our platform for any unlawful or unethical purposes.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ data or Edmies systems.

5.Intellectual Property

  • All content provided by Edmies—including course materials, digital assets, branding, logos, lectures, and recorded sessions—are the exclusive intellectual property of Edmies.
  • Any unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution will be considered infringement and may lead to legal action under applicable IP laws.

6.Code of Conduct, Anti-Defamation, and Safety Policy

A.Expected Behavior

You agree to maintain respectful, ethical behaviour when interacting with:

  • Edmies employees, trainers, and staff
  • Fellow students and Edmies representatives
  • Physical and digital property

B.Anti-Defamation & Social Media Guidelines

Strictly prohibited actions include:

  • Posting false or misleading reviews/comments about Edmies or its staff
  • Abusive, threatening, or offensive remarks made online or offline
  • Circulating unauthorized screenshots, internal communication, or class recordings

Violations will lead to:

  • Suspension or termination of course
  • Legal notice and potential civil/criminal action under IPC Sec 499, 500, and IT Act

C.Staff Safety & Institutional Integrity

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards:

  • Verbal/physical abuse of trainers or employees
  • Disruption of classes or admin procedures
  • Attempts to coerce, bribe, or intimidate staff

Students violating this policy will face immediate expulsion and/or legal escalation.

D. Intellectual and Physical Property

Misuse, vandalism, or theft of Edmies resources will result in:

  • Disciplinary action
  • Legal recovery of damages or criminal complaint

7. Privacy and Data Protection

  • Article 21 of the Indian Constitution
  • The Information Technology Act, 2000
  • IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011
  • Tamil Nadu and other state-level cyber and data privacy laws
  • GDPR (where applicable for international best practice)

Your use of our services constitutes acceptance of our Privacy Policy.

8. Placement and Internship Disclaimer

We collect and handle Personal Identifiable Information (PII) in compliance with:

  • Placement assistance is offered but not guaranteed.
  • Interview shortlisting and final selections depend solely on the company’s recruitment criteria.

9.Third-Party Services

We may link to or integrate third-party tools or services. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of such external resources.

10.Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Any direct or indirect damages resulting from course use
  • Technical issues, server failures, or third-party disruptions
  • Any learning outcome or employment result

11.Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Edmies, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of:

  • Your use or misuse of the platform
  • Breach of these Terms
  • Violation of applicable laws or third-party rights

12.Force Majeure

Edmies shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in service due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Acts of government
  • Network/server failures
  • Pandemic/epidemic disruptions

13.Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Edmies shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in service due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • The Constitution of India
  • Indian Contract Act, 1872
  • Information Technology Act, 2000
  • Tamil Nadu State Jurisdiction

Any disputes shall be subject to the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

14.Modifications

We reserve the right to update or change these Terms at any time. Changes will be notified via email or our website.

15.Acceptance

By accessing Edmies platforms, filling our forms, or participating in our programs, you agree to all the above Terms and Conditions. Continued use after changes implies acceptance of those updates.
